The app#
The Astralyx app is the console on your phone: one hand, five tabs, the same account. Open it at console.astralyx.cloud/app and add it to your home screen; it opens like any other app, works without a network for what it keeps on the phone, and tells you when something needs you.
| Tab | What it does |
|---|---|
| Home | The workspace at a glance: what waits on you, machines up and down, GPUs in use, today's goodput, open incidents, and your latest chats. See Home and alerts. |
| Chat | Talk to your workspace's models and those shared with it: photos, PDFs, voice, its own tools. Chats stay on the phone. See Chat. |
| Inbox | Everything waiting on you — repairs to approve, agents' held calls, your AI assistants' actions, invitations — approved or rejected in a tap; dangerous ones with your fingerprint or face. See Inbox and passkeys. |
| Alerts | Open incidents and thresholds firing on the workspace's machines, each with its timeline and I'm on it for the team. See Home and alerts. |
| Settings | Notifications, passkeys, chat profiles, the theme, and what is kept on the phone. |
The app shows only what you may use: Chat appears when your role lets you call the workspace's deployments or those shared with it, Alerts when it lets you read machines' health or alerts, and each tile of Home when you may read what it shows. Every action is checked again by Astralyx, which says why when it refuses.
Install it#
- Open console.astralyx.cloud/app in Chrome and sign in.
- Tap Install app when Chrome offers it, or open the menu (⋮) and choose Install app (on some phones, Add to Home screen). Settings → Install the app has a button for it too.
- Open Astralyx from the home screen or the app drawer.
Samsung Internet, Edge and Firefox for Android install it from their menus the same way.
- Open console.astralyx.cloud/app in Safari and sign in.
- Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Open Astralyx from the home screen.
Notifications need iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later and the app opened from the home screen: Safari does not deliver them to a page in a tab.
In Chrome or Edge, open console.astralyx.cloud/app and choose the install button in the address bar. Everything the app does, the console does too, with more room.
Long-press the app's icon (Android) or use the shortcuts in its menu for New chat, Inbox and Alerts.
The app uses your Astralyx account and its sign-in: password, single sign-on, Google or GitHub. Signing in on the phone signs you in to the console in that browser, and the other way round. A browser session lasts 12 hours; then the app asks you to sign in again. Settings → Sign out signs you out and stops notifications to that phone.
Workspaces#
The app shows one workspace at a time: tap its name at the top of Home (or Settings → Workspace) to switch. The phone remembers the last one you used.
Offline#
The app opens without a network. Your chats are on the phone, so you can read them and write new messages; what you write is sent when the phone is back online, and the app says so under each message. Home, the inbox and alerts need the network to show what is current.
Updates#
The app updates itself: a new version is fetched in the background and used the next time it starts. There is nothing to download from a store.
